PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

Register before
September 8th!

Welcome to the Ubisoft S5 PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds tournament!

The format currently being used for this tournament is teams of 4 (squads) with an FPP perspective.

A point system will be used and the details can be found in the ruleset below.

Games will be played every wednesday at lunchtime. Unfortunately since everyone has to be in the same game we are really limited in flexibility.

Please be sure that your team can be available for the game every week.  This will really help us admin the tournament and make it easier on everyone!

Rules

RULESET AND SETUP: PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS.

Not allowed

  • Players can not have any stream open nor stream chat.

Match Day

  • One game will be held per week which will require a maximum amount of participants from every team to be present in order to rake in points.

  • It has been decided that a custom game will be hosted every Wednesday at 12:10 pm (over lunch time).

Match Setup:

  • The custom lobby will be created at 12 :00.

  • Name: Will be disclosed privately to the mailing list.

  • Password: Will be disclosed privately to the mailing list.

Things to do before 12:00pm

  1. Make sure Steam and PUBG are both installed and updated on your computer.

  2. Make sure your Gaming Gateway (OpenVPN) is installed and functional.

    • Connecting to a Discord server is a good way to test quickly if it works

    • It’s also advisable to test connecting to a regular game of PUBG

    • Disconnecting/Reconnecting from the VPN will sometimes fix a bad connection to it. Don’t do that mid-game, though.

    • If the software doesn’t seem to respond well, rebooting your PC can sometimes fix that

Things to do at 12:00 (GAME TIME!)

  1. Open your Gaming Gateway(OpenVPN), connect with your Windows credentials.

  2. Open Steam, Launch PUBG.

  3. Open the Custom Match browser by hitting this button at the bottom of the Play panel.

  4. Scroll down and find the server designated in the email and click on it.

  5. Enter the password and confirm.

  6. Inside the lobby, you can mouseover the Top-Left area of your screen to see the teams. Join the same team with your teammates by simply clicking on an open slot. To make it easier for everyone and avoid filling another team’s slot, please click “Go to Unassigned” while trying to find your team.

  7. [Optional] Join your favorite voice communication(Discord, Skype…) software alongside your team. We recommend going “Do Not Disturb” on Skype during the game to avoid unfortunate window minimize during a firefight. Don’t forget to put it back to “Available” right after!

  8. Once your team is assembled in the lobby, crack your fingers and wait! Game starts at 12:10. When game starts, make sure your window is maximized and ready to go. If it is alt+tabbed or minimized, it will take longer to load and you could timeout.
